The purpose of the Catering Sales Manager is to contribute to the Catering Department selling process in order to achieve or exceed the catering budget. RESPONSIBILITIES: -Meet or exceed budget social catering revenue sales goal -Prepare annual smart goals with the Director of Catering -Prepare and maintain picture books and presentations of social events to use as a selling tool -Work with party planners and vendors to prospect for social events -Know the competition well and establish a relationship with them -Prepare banquet event orders and contracts -Maximize revenues through upselling techniques -Communicate all details of social events to related departments -Participate in industry related associations -Additional duties not listed may also be required by supervisor -Professional presentation and grooming in conjunction with The Langham Hotel grooming standards -Able to work a flexible schedule |
